Food is more than a necessity for living, especially for those up in work camps. Meals form an integral part of the day in a place where there are limited options for personal enjoyment. Meals need to be nutritious, flavourful and appealing to the crews, yet cost-conscious for the client. There are a number of aspects involved to accomplish this:
| |
Nutritious, well balanced meals are planned in accordance with Farm Kitchens high expectations (CLICK HERE FOR SAMPLE MENU) |
| |
Cooks tailor menus to the preferences of the crews they are cooking for |
| |
Farm Kitchen's staff work as a team creating a warm welcoming camp atmosphere |
| |
Accurate tracking of meal and man-day records |
Everyone enjoys clean accommodations. Fresh linens and towels are a fundamental part of any comfortable lodging, and we fully understand the importance of this fact. To ensure a comfortable and clean campsite we plan:
| |
Daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedules |
| |
Daily towel service and weekly linen changes |
The logistics of food supply and delivery are another very critical part of ensuring excellent food for our customers. We feel that third-party shopping and delivery services often do not deliver a high-enough level of quality control and freshness. So to ensure the very best food, we provide:
| |
Weekly delivery of fresh food, supplies and staff to each camp on our temperature controlled fleet of trucks |
| |
Hand selected groceries from our centralized warehouse in Edmonton |
There are other support services which we provide for clients as needed or requested. These optional services both elevate the overall efficiency of operations and provide clients with a well-documented and independently operating camp site; reducing their own administrative needs. It also:
| |
Ensures overall performance of camp to customer and Farm Kitchens' expectations |
| |
Provides direct communication with customer's project supervisors (no charge) |
| |
Record man-days on a per project basis and obtain sign-off by the customers' project supervisor |
| |
If requested, track and report costs associated with auxiliary camp services (including but not limited to fuel/propane/potable water) |
